Canon EOS 7D’s Firmware Update Has So Much In Store – Reaches An All-New Level

CANON EOS 7D Firmware update

Canon EOS 7D is evolving and a product of this process is the latest 2.0 firmware update for the same. With the addition of user-requested innovations, the product promises to deliver a higher maximum burst rate for continuous shooting, definable maximum limit for ISO Auto, compatibility with the Canon GPS Receiver GP-E2, and manual audio level adjustment during video shooting and review.

When you compare the latest version, i.e., version 2.0.x, with the version 1.x.x, there are significant changes in maximum burst rate for continuous shooting and maximum limit for ISO Auto. The maximum burst rate has increased from 126 for JPEG Large/Fine to 130 and from 15 for RAW images to 25. The maximum ISO limit that a user can set has increased from 3200 to 6400. Manual audio level adjustment has been introduced in this version and it is set at 64 levels.

With faster scrolling of magnified images, quick control during playback, in-camera RAW image processing, JPEG image resizing and ratings, plus customization of file names and time zone settings, this firmware update looks significant. Read more about it at Canon’s official website.
