Kobian launches Mercury MagiQ - 5 Inch dual-SIM phablet

The 5-inch Galaxy Note has been an great success for Samsung and now as the company is all prepared to announce the next iteration of the same, a few entry-level phablets have emerged in the market. We already know about the Micromax A100 and the LG Optimus Vu, now joining them is the Kobian Mercury MagiQ.


The Mercury MagiQ is a 5-inch hybrid which includes dual-SIM capability and is officially priced at Rs. 12,700. This device runs Android 4.0.3 ICS out of the box and is powered by a 1GHz single-core processor along with 512MB of RAM. It also sports a 12 megapixel rear camera, a secondary front facing camera, 4GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for expandable storage.

In terms of the connectivity, the device supports 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. In terms of battery the company claims it has a standby time of 15 days and talk time of up to 13 hours after a full charge. The prime competitor of this device is of course the Micromax A100 Superfone Canvas, which is priced slightly lower at Rs. 9,999.
