ZOTAC announces ZBOX Nano AD12 Series Home Theatre Mini PC

ZOTAC International, a channel manufacturer of graphics cards, mainboards and mini-PCs, has recently refreshed its product line up with the announcement of the Zbox nano with AMD Radeon HD 7340 graphics processing capabilities. The latest ZOTAC ZBOX nano with AMD Radeon HD 7340 graphics helps in boosting graphics and CPU processing capabilities while also maintaining energy efficiency to create a palm-sized home theatre PC capable of high-definition video playback and fast system responsiveness.

“Our ZOTAC ZBOX nano series is a user favorite as it enables full-fledged PCs in all rooms and locations. The palm-sized form factor is extremely flexible and with the new AMD E2-1800 APU, we are able to deliver more performance and additional connectivity in the ZOTAC ZBOX nano with AMD Radeon HD 7340 graphics while maintaining the same footprint,” said Carsten Berger, marketing director, ZOTAC International.

ZOTAC states that a new concept added to the ZOTAC ZBOX nano is the high-amperage USB 2.0 ports that are capable of charging devices that require more power for quicker charges. A pair of front-mounted USB 2.0 ports provides easy connectivity to portable devices with the ZOTAC ZBOX nano with AMD Radeon HD 7340 graphics while supplying up to 1.5-amps of high-amperage power for easy plug and play charge and syncing with the latest smartphones and tablets.

We had recently reviewed the predecessor to the product,  the ZOTAC ZBOX AD11 Plus, and felt that it is a very good product, especially considering the price. The AD11 Plus features a dual-core CPU running at 1.65GHz and packs in an integrated Radeon HD 6320 GPU. Due to the limited size of the nano XS, there’s only one DIMM memory slot and ZOTAC ships the AD11 with 2GB of DDR3 RAM. Instead of a standard SSD, you have a mSATA 6Gbps connector and ZOTAC bundles a 64GB SSD along with it. While this is not the most capacious storage solution, it’s more than enough for Windows and basic programs.
